One makeup brand I have been dying to try out for a long time now is Colourpop Cosmetics. Especially their matte lipsticks. So when they were offering free international shipping for orders over $50, I immediately placed my first order. I was so excited for my package to arrive! But my high hopes and expectations were vanished when the shipping took almost two weeks and I ended up having to pay €24,11 in customs fees. Such a bummer. But nonetheless, I was happy to finally be able to try out my new lip products. Curious about my first Colourpop Cosmetics haul? Keep on reading!
COLOURPOP COSMETICS ULTRA MATTE LIP & METALLIC LIP
I’m still very much into matte lipsticks and I don’t think I’ll ever get enough. Colourpop Cosmetics has a wide range of shades, but this time I opted for some darker colors for Fall. I thought the applicator was very smooth and made it easy to apply an even coat. Matte lipsticks are known for drying out your lips, but honestly these felt like I hardly had anything on. Such a plus! I decided I also wanted to try out Colourpop’s metallic lipsticks and chose to go with ‘Kween’. I was actually expecting more of a darker undertone. But I figured I’ll just wear it with a different undertone, to make it look so much better! My favorites out of the matte and metallic lipsticks are probably Viper and Are N Be. They are very similar in color, but I personally think they go best with my skin tone.
Swatched: Matte Lips: Kapow, Viper, Are N Be, Limbo, LAX and Metallic Lip: Kween
COLOURPOP COSMETICS LIPPIE STIX
I also wanted to try out the Colourpop Cosmetics Lippie Stix and since I was getting free shipping anyways, I decided to go with three shades. Two brown-ish colors and one dark purple. Colors I’ve been wanting to add to my collection since forever! The packaging isn’t as cute as the matte lippies, but trust me the application of these stix are so smooth! The pigments are amazing and I have a feeling they’ll last a long time. You should have seen me trying to remove these swatches from my arm lol. I think maybe next time I have to pick up a few more of these wonderful lippie stix!
Swatched: Lippie Stix Taurus, Pitch, Nevermind
Putting aside the fact that I had to pay additional customs fees, I am very satisfied with my first Colourpop Cosmetics haul. It was definitely worth the wait! And I’m so excited to start playing with these new colors when I’m doing my makeup! Have you ever tried out Colourpop Cosmetics before? Let me know in the comments!
*I also picked up the beautiful golden highlighter Glo Up.

Wow, these colours look so rich and great for fall! I’ve never heard about Colourpop Cosmetics, to be honest, but I am really curious about their lipsticks now, lol. I will probably have to pay customs as well, since I live in Canada, but I want to give them a try anyway:) Thanks so much for sharing this review and beautiful swatches.

You got some really amazing products! I think I would cry if I had to pay that in customs – one of the things that puts me off buying things online sometimes! I would love to try this brand though!
Exactly! I was so surprised, because I never had too before and I do shop online quite often. Next time I’ll definitely put in some more research before purchasing. x
Viper vind ik een prachtige kleur! had ze ook graag op je lippen gezien, heel benieuwd naar!
Een try-on artikel volgt gauw! x
