The Vibrant Colors of Willemstad

vibrant colors willemstad curacao

Willemstad is the capital of Curacao as well as the city center of the island. Divided by the Sint Anna Bay and connected by a remarkable pontoon bridge, are the areas Punda and Otrobanda. Besides the many gorgeous beaches, these areas are the most memorable for tourists because of its many colorful buildings. From monuments to businesses and houses, it’s nothing short of a rainbow party! In today’s post I’m giving you an inside look of what it’s like to walk around in Willemstad. A photographer, blogger or anybody that’s into architecture would certainly appreciate a visit to Willemstad Curacao!

I love walking around in Willemstad because there are so many “hidden” alleys that I’m sure even some locals don’t really know about. It’s just delightful to see all these modern buildings that have a cultural twist. And whenever there’s a cruise ship or two (it happens so often) there are tons of curious tourists admiring the city. I myself felt like a tourist a couple of days ago when we took these pictures haha. 7.

Haha…
