Ciao Bella Venezia

venice travel diary

It’s crazy to think that 24 hours ago I was in Venice and now I’m back home already. I’m still super exhausted from the trip back, but I’m so excited to share my Venice travel diary with all of you! So get ready for a big spam of Venice pictures in the span of these upcoming days. Here’s my Venice Travel Diary Day 1!

When me and my friend arrived in Venice on Friday, it was literally pouring rain from the moment we stepped off the plane all the way to when we got to our hotel. I was so afraid it was going to put a damper on our first day, but luckily a few moments later the sun came back out. So it was time to explore! Without a map or any idea where we were going, we made our way through tons of narrow alleys and connecting bridges. There were beautiful buildings everywhere you turn, a million floating boats and a photograph-worthy scenery in every corner! And I loved it. After a while we worked up a pretty big appetite, so decided to head to Rialto for some authentic pasta experience in one of the nearby restaurants. It wasn’t exactly what we expected, but at least our bellies were filled and we were ready for some more exploring. After a few hours of wandering around San Polo and hopping on and off the vaporetto a few times, we headed back to our hotel (but not before getting lost a few times). We decided to make it an early night, because we were still exhausted from the trip and we had a pretty early start the next day! But you’ll hear about that more in my next Venice travel diary! For now, just enjoy these colorful snaps!

Some of the buildings look like buildings we have here in Curacao.
