Last Saturday my cousins and I took the Slangenreizen tour bus for a day of Christmas shopping in Paris. Because be honest, Paris is always a good idea. And if you thought this city was fascinating during sunny days, you should really visit around the Holidays. Christmas lights, ornaments and a holiday atmosphere everywhere! Keep reading if you want to see more of my Paris travel diary!
Around ten in the morning the bus dropped us off at Bateaux Mouches and we headed to Café Mode for some breakfast. This café had such a cool Parisian vibe and was surrounded by designer stores like Dior, Jimmy Choo and Givenchy. After our quick bite, we strolled around the area and walked over to Rue Saint-Dominique. This street is the perfect spot to capture the Eiffel tower in the background of your pictures. After taking a million shots, we decided to head over to the Carrousel du Louvre, Palais Royal and the Jardin des Tuileries. As we were wandering without any idea where we were going, we found this cute little restaurant called Cafe de Paris.
After our lunch we realized how quickly time has flown by in beautiful Paris, so we took the metro and made our way to Champs-Élysées. The boulevard was so crowded, but the vibe was absolutely amazing. Fairy lights in the trees, Christmas markets, loud music, just so astonishing. A few crowded stores and a beautiful marble staircase at Guerlain later, we slowly walked back to Bateaux Mouches. The Eiffel tower was lit up beautifully around this time and even started to twinkle moments later. So stunning! It takes my breath away time and time again.
I definitely enjoyed my day in Paris with my cousins, but was so glad to go back home. The entire trip was so exhausting and to make matters worse, the bus was late to pick us up. So after hours of driving across various borders, I probably got home at around four in the morning. Just in time to get some sleep before having to wake up for work the next morning haha.
I hope you enjoyed my Paris Travel Diary. Have you ever been to Paris before? By the way, if you’re curious about my outfit, check out my faux fur OOTD post right now!
